Our Lady of Perpetual Help (known as Our Lady of the Passion in Byzantine Catholic and Eastern Orthodox circles) is believed to have originated in the 13th-15 centuries, working many miracles. It is believed to have originated in the Keras Kardiotissas Monastery and was brought to the church of St Alphonsus which is under the care of the Redemptorist Fathers in Rome.
